That the Statue of Liberty is a lighthouse is a trivia question I use that stumps almost everyone I ask. When you think of it, that’s kind of funny that people visit the Statue of Liberty by the thousands, yet so few realize it is considered a lighthouse. It will be interesting to see the responses when I post a Happy Birthday to her on my blog at http://mrlighthouseenthusiast.com/. Happy Birthday Lady Liberty.

Dear Sarah and Margeurite-
I have two pieces I would humbly like to offer to this exhibit if you have room for them. One is a pencil portrait of my friend Steven who was killed in the North Tower on 9/11. We worked in the same firehouse until his promotion to Lieutenant. He was working in Ten Truck that day. The other is a short poem entitled “Solitude” that came together in the mess that was my mind in the days and weeks after. I know you guys have everything in place already, and I’m sure you have worked hard and have plenty of material for the exhibit, so I completely understand if this is not feasible. I’ll see you guys at the show regardless. Good Luck!

This tour looked amazing. Will there be another one? How do I find out in advance. I first read about this in the SI Advance, however it was already booked. I would love to have been able to go. Please let me know how I sign up for advance notices of your events
