Linda was in Buffalo attending a MuseumWise Conference on a GO Grant.

Seizing upon a symbolic moment of renewal, New Year's Day was perfect for the launch of the National Lighthouse Museum's fund-raising challenge to raise $1 million to open one of the historic buildings at its St. George site. Dubbed 1-1-11 by 2012 – $1 million in one year to open Building 11 – the fund-raiser is a rededication of an almost-squandered opportunity to establish the national museum on the 10-acre site just east of the Staten Island Ferry.
